Dear Toni,
I wish you all the luck in the world. My humble opinion is that
you will never be able to get rid of the ants for more than a
few days, unless you poison your food supply. Spray the aphids
off your plants with a hard spray of water every week. The ants
will go to somewhere else in your garden, leaving your food
supply alone. You should consider yourself lucky - I'll bet in
New Hampshire you don't have ants all year long!
