bounty from the garden

I'm getting ready to eat that first tomato, too....just wandered
around my garden and picked a bunch of things, at the same time
noticing that a nice-sized tomato (about 3" in diameter) is ripening
nicely. It probably could be picked now, but I'd like to let it
redden just a little, so will pick it tomorrow before I leave on a
business trip. I have lots of other tomatoes formed on the plants
(I'm growing about 9 different varieties this year), but they're not
quite ready. I'm just happy we've had some good rains this year, and
they seem to hit just about when I'm ready to water the garden. It's
been a nice reprieve from the irrigation efforts!

All of this will end up in my online garden journal at my Web site,
but here's the stuff that I just picked over lunchtime:

- dozen little eggplants (variety Bambino), egg-sized
- one cayenne pepper
- one tiny, little bell pepper (they're so cute when they're that
small)
- big bowl of tiny onions (Egyptian walking onions)
- handful of ground cherries (first time I've tried them, and they
taste pretty good!)
- couple of pattypan squashes

I think I'm going to make some kind of frittata for dinner to
incorporate a bunch of these things....but I will welcome any recipes
from you folks! How would *you* utilize these lovely veggies (BTW, I
don't eat red meat)?
