When the Ringling Bros.-Barnum & Bailey Circus comes to Washington, DC,
annually for a 10-day run, there's almost always a feature in the Washington
Post that advises plant-lovers to head over to the Armory and pick up the
free elephant manure.

One year, the article quoted a grizzled old black guy who was famous locally
for the size of his veggies and fruits. He said, "This stuff really makes
the garden pop."

He put it right into his garden without composting.
