Re: Eggplant

Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html

I actually do grow eggplant vertically, not by using a trellis but by
using a regular 3 ft. stake. Eggplants will be fine 1 per square, with
a little overlap if your plant does really well. Which type of eggplant
do you grow - Japanese or standard large kind? My Japanese ones seem to
get larger than the standard ones.

I think there's a variety of crookneck yellow squash that is a vining
type. I've never grown it. I grow Sunburst Patty Pat squash. It's a
nice bush variety, only taking 9 squares. Wonderful squash too, very
buttery and tender, not watery at all like most zucchini.

zone 9, so cal
