Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Actually, anything will work as a collar to keep out cutworms: paper,
pieces of old roofing paper, etc. I used to use old 8 1/2 x 11 manila file
folders which I cut in 2 inch strips (leaving me a piece 2" x 17"), and
placed around the plant leaving the top 3/4 inch or so above the soil line.
Sometimes a cutworm would be trapped inside my collar, but not very often.
Cutworms tend to disappear when it gets real hot & the paper disappears.
