   We just bought something called Deer-Off.  It's supposed to deter deer, 
RABBITS, and squirrels.  It's safe on edible crops(as well as all other 
plants/bulbs)!!!!   
   It's made from(now don't gag) Putrescent Whole Egg , Garlic, and 
Capsacian(sp?).  you spray it on the plants until they are dripping and let 
it dry.   apply once and it will last "a long time" you have to reapply only 
when there is new growth that the bunnies can reach ..or it wears off..it 
does NOT have to be done every time you water!!
             Just be sure to wash off the crop before eating it!!!!
