Poison Ivy

I meant to say something about this before when someone posted about poison
ivy. Two little footnotes to keep in mind when trying to remove it.

1) The toxin can stay active for over a year after the plant dies. Just
because the vine has died, don't think you can rip it out with your bare
hands.

2) Don't burn it! Even when dead. The toxin will be carried by the smoke and
burn your eyes.

(I guess this was slightly off topic, unless of course you have poison ivy
vines invading your gardening space...)
