Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Other than Bill's metaphysical method, th'other trick is a spading fork....
Now Mary, did ya build a deep bed of Melsoil for yer carrots, or is this yer
Indiana clay telling you what a smart man that Mel is and how you shoulda?
:-)
Frank---has also heard that if you beseech the carrot devas properly, at
harvest time the carrots will jump out of the ground and into your garden
trug....but he's never seen it happen....so he builds the deep Melsoil
carrot bed, or grows golfball carrots.......:-)
