	It's an attitude thing. First you have to 'not want them to pull up'.
Imagine that you just want to pull off some of the dead leaves, or that you
are pulling weeds and have accidentally got a hold of part of the carrot.
Then look the other way for a second and gently move your hand. Then, if you
truly do not want them to come out of the ground, they will come right out,
breaking off every hair root.

	At least that has been my experience whenever I didn't want to pull my
carrots...
