Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Ok, I just did some looking on the web, and I see that the bug I
found on my pumpkin is not a squash vine borer. My very old
insect book calls it a stink bug because it smells when you kill it.
It is gray-brown and kind of shaped like a shield. The bug does not
have a hard body and it does fly. At the most it is probably about 1
inch but could be smaller as I'm terrible at estimating size.
Does anyone know what this is, and what I can do to prevent it?
As I stated in a previous note, I lost all my squash stuff to this and
other bugs last year.
Thanks for any help.
