Have you thought of using discarded glass patio door panels. Once they
begin to discolor/dirty between the panels they are usually replaced. If
you know the right people you can get some that are good enough for a
greenhouse for next to nothing. Stood on 2*4s with 1*1 to hold them in
place should be adequate. Cracks can be sealed with silicone where not
needed for ventilation.
I plan to build one using discarded storm windows of which I have a
decent source. Hopefully 2*2 s vertically and horizontal with alternate 2*4
posts will be sufficient.
