>Has anyone grown Indeterminate tomatoes in 1 sq foot as Mel says in the
book.
Even with pruning to 1 stem, seems like a little tight to me. Does it in
average gardens?
Fran.
------------
I don't do this.
However the spacing used in hydroponics can be this.
And there is a tomato cage, that is about 2"x2"x 5+ft.
So you can bet, folks do it.
Yields alter. Earlier. "All at once," unless you stagger plant and plant
different types. Nicer fruit. Fewer lbs per plant. More labor intensive.
Why not try a couple - few tho if it interest you, and the rest "your old
reliable way?"
Per my readings.
