if you have somewhere to store them you could build permanent cages using
1x2's and chicken wire. the chicken wire cages are lite enough to move
around but sturdy enough to keep birds from getting tangled up. make sure
the cages are tall enough so the birds can't reach their beaks inside for a
bite.
