I have one of the Gardener's barrels but want more and like you cannot
see the expense. I was going to try sturdy plastic garbage cans - the kind
with wheels. I thought I could secure screening across the top with a
bungy cord. I can't see much of a difference between that and the
commercial rain barrel, other than the spout at the bottom.
AND it will be easier to move with those wheels as long as
I don't let it fill all the way up. If anyone can think of a reason not
to use a garbage can let me know.
