>I have a pond - its a bit bigger then you suggest at about 1/4 acre - it is
unfortunately too far from the main veggie garden - someday I will put in a
pump there for the herb garden which is right next to the pond.
>Veggie garden is up hill from the pond about 1/4 mile so it is a bit too far
for the average pump system - and unless I bury the lines it wouldn't look
great out and would interfere with the driveway! Bummer!

*You write to cry? Or you want a solution?
There are probly many.
Distance is not an issue, unless you meant 1/4 mile, vertically...?
1728, UP...?
Looks that much of an issue? Not bad to bury lines. There is a chainsaw like
thing which is made for digging like this. Schedule 80 is mor $ but grey and
tuff.
Driveway? Go over. Go under. Have a barrel on each side of the drive.
Pump to near one. Pump or siphon from there over, with a 200 gph portable 12v
bilge pump, then, or next day. Adorn barrels with unmottared bricks, keeps
them cooler, Looks good. I need more info. Likely can do this with
cleverness.
But this is a pet project... ring me up off line.
Bill
