Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
I know that Mel frowns on the PVC but that's what I have and it is strong
enough for my veggies - I do mostly peas and toms on it. I have the 2 inch
PVC so its a bit stronger then the 1 inch stuff. Just bought the 10 foot
sections and cut one in half for my cross pieces - hubby pounded the big ones
into the ground, put the elbows on and we where done - ok it took 2 of us to
get the cross piece into place but its been there for 3 years now and we
don't even take it down in the winter - too lazy.
For the string I run a piece of twine across the bottom, near the ground and
then wrap the rest of the string around the top piece down and under the
bottom string up over the cross piece and so on! Works for me. And was much
cheaper then the pipe - like under $30 versus over $100 for the 2 frames I
have.
