Re: sowing seed indoors / pricking out seedlings

Me too.  I've transplanted them this way many times and they're fine.
Just don't handle the stems at all, they're the vulnerable bit.

They are a good tool for that.  You can customize the ends, making different
shapes for different jobs.  They're particularly useful in their stock shape for
getting soil and seedlings out of channel trays - those shallow trays with 20
long channels running accross them, very handy for starting lots of diverse
stuff in a small area.
