Re: luffas


Hi all,

Years ago I lived in Georgia where loofas grew quite well.  Couldn't say
about how they might do in Texas.  They grew to quite large sizes and looked
very much like a huge zuchini.  Once the mature plant was picked, it was
quite easy to dry it out and presto - a loofa!   A word of caution though.
 Be careful where you place the plant.  I saw many a car roof dented by a
good-sized loofa which had fallen from its vine and landed upon an
unsuspecting car below.
