Hi
I have seen this type of apple tree advertised in the UK, usually
under the name 'Ballerina'. However this was about 3 years ago and
they are now no longer listed in the same catalogues. I have been
told that the fruit quality is poor. In my opinion better results
could be obtained by picking an appropriate dwarf rootstock and then
planting and pruning to achieve a similar result - maybe as an
espalier.
