Planting by the moon


Hey there,
        This month's Smithsonian features an article about "dirt scientists".  One
experiment they perform has to do with tilling the soil at night, with the
tractor lights off.  Seems exposed weed seeds are less likely to germinate
using this method.  Maybe that is what is behind the "planting by the moon"
myths.
