Hello, I am making a raised bed 6x20. What depth should it be ? The soil under it is pottery quality clay [really]. Is 12 enough ?? I doubt it, is 24 to much. The depth greatly affects how much soil I will have to haul. Also I plan to put this bed on a area that has grass currently and not remove the sod. What do the SQ FTers have for advoce ??? Stormy at 7000 feet elevation and 10-12 inches annual moisture.
