more on saving seeds

My apologies for the second post on this subject. I realized that
I'd forgotten to say a couple of other things prior to hitting
"Send"...

If you want to get started with seed saving, you might try some very
easy and simple plants first. Some of the ones that I found to be
very easy are: marigolds; zinnias; coreopsis. I noticed last year
that my okra had some really nice, recognizable seeds, too; however,
I didn't bother to save those seeds. The seeds of the flowers I
mentioned above are easily recognizable because they're fairly large
and plentiful from those plants. When you're sowing seeds in your
garden the first time, pay attention to what they look like. That
way, when those plants produce seeds of their own you'll be able to
recognize them more easily.

Hope this helps,
Joan
