All of the above items are ok except the kitty litter. Dog, cat, and human
wastes may harbor desease organisms which are not destroyed by composting.
Peelings don't *need* to be ground up, but it does help. You can get more
information whereever they sell gardening books. There are several books
dedicated just to composting.
