Hi All,
I have more square foot spacing questions.
What is spacing for:
sage? I planted four/sqft, then found out that it is often
not a good companion plant for some of the veggies near it...
Chinese, or napa, cabbage? I tried four/sqft.
Chicory? I've never grown it, so I don't know what the
plant looks like or how big it is...
Marigolds?
Cilantro, or coriander?
Radicchio and arugula? Same as leaf lettuce?
Also, does anyone have experience growing other flowers in
the square foot area, besides marigolds and nasturtiums? I
was thinking of those flowers that would attract beneficial
insects, or repel nasty insects. Not really thinking of plants
that would act as a decoy to attract nasty insects - I think
I'd prefer to keep those in a separate area somewhat removed
from the square feet. I live in So. Calif. where the spring
is looking too warm and the summers are hot anyway, so need
to have a flower that can grow in full sunlight. California
poppies are supposed to be good for vegetables, but I think
it may be a little late now to plant them from seed.
Any thoughts?
TIA, Shawn
