A part of my garden is planted in 2'X2' squares, and one is shared
by a sage plant and an oregano plant that I prune to keep in
bounds (it's one mass of greenery). They live next to other 2'X2'
squares, and the only problem that I can see is that they host a
lot of snails. Last year they had, I believe, tomatoes and kale
as immediate companions, and both did just fine, so they don't
have a _dramatic_ bad affect, anyway.
