Thanks so much for the tip. This looks like exactly what I had in mind, and not too expensive. Yes, I knew Goretex would be waaaaay too expensive, but I was throwing out ideas to stimulate thinking. I bet if Mel ever updated his book, he would add this polyester material to his suggestions for plant protection cages. It looks great! I looked at the web site cited, and saw different sizes, but not different weights. I ordered the catalog. Hopefully the catalog will show even more choices. Plus there is a $5.00 discount on first order from catalog for citing how you got to their web site. Don't miss that opportunity, if you are interested. Of course, some companies make that sort of offer in every catalog. I don't know anything about this specific company and their policies. Thanks again. scpd & ced wrote: > The polyester row-covers (Reemay and its relatives) work very well > for this purpose; they let in light, air and rain but keep out bugs > and shelter from wind, etc. These come in several different weights, > depending on how much protection you want to give.
