Container Material

My mom sent me in the mail instructions on how to make"Faux stone containers"
It contains sand, portland cement and peat moss. It takes about 2 weeks to
cure and it "says" its been around for years and is a cheap, lightweight
alternitive to concrete or stone containers. Has anyone heard of this and
what were your comments and results.
