You should look into a short season variety. I am growing Hookers Sweet Corn
right now at a spacing of 6". It is a "baby corn" which grows to be 4-5 feet
tall. I have a long season so the first seeds I planted are already 2 feet
high. I don't have the packet near by so I can't give the exact number of
days it takes to grow this variety. I am told that this is an excelent short
season variety.
<< Firstly, should I plant a normal variety (l'll pick and F1 early

I am partial to non hybrid varieties but that is just my opinion. Most of the
baby corn I have seen is the short season variety.
You might want to check out the Seeds of Change web site. I bought my corn
from them and I was very pleased with what I received. They have a large
selection of both short and long season varieties.

Hope this helps.
