Actually, it's already there.
I've written a page explaining how to search *both* archives
(there's the official listserv-maintained one, and also the
web-based one that a company called reference.com maintains).
The information about both is at:
http://www.umsl.edu/~silvest/garden/search.html
The sqft home page provides lots of information about the list
itself, including how to unsubscribe, etc.
If you don't have web access, you can send an email message to:
getweb@usa.healthnet.org
with the single body line:
GET http://www.umsl.edu/~silvest/garden/search.html
(or whatever URL you want)
Once again, I ask people to please not post non-gardening
messages to the listserv, *especially* not
"me too's" that we've just had a flood of.
I'm working on trying to find a way to attach an automatic
message to the bottom of every posting reminding people of
how to unsubscribe. If I figure it out, they'll just start
to appear there.
I apologize to everyone who has needed to unsubscribe for
not monitoring the list more closely. I don't get paid for
this, and I do have a real job that keeps me busy.
Again, if you have any questions about the list itself,
please send them directly to me,
silvest@umslvma.umsl.edu
and I will be happy to help. Many people who are having problems
unsubscribing have had their Internet home sites change
addresses out from under them. You should complain to your
own system administrator when that happens. The symptom is
that the listserv insists you aren't currently subscribed, when
you know you are.
Folks, just one more reminder that this list is intended for
discussing square foot gardening, not just any gardening topics.
The volume of messages is starting to get extremely high, and
a lot of it is not really pertinent to the square foot method.
My inability to keep up enough to help those who needed to
unsubscribe is just one consequence. Please be more selective
about what you post to the list, or I may have to re-consider
making the whole thing formally moderated.
There is a general gardening listserv. You will find the
subscription info at the bottom of the square foot home page:
