location questions

After a winter of drooling over seed catalogs, its pretty apparent that 
I'm going to need to expand the size of this year's garden.  The easiest 
spot would be to add a garden over our septic tank and/or leech field.  
Is this something ok to do?  It would be nice to have a garden there if 
only to keep my husband from driving over them.  But are there sanitary 
questions involved here?  Both are brand new systems, and though grass 
does grow over them its not a whole lot better over them than the rest of 
the lawn.  Any thoughts?
