Strrawberries

All,
    Thanks to Lisa for bringing up the topic of strawberries. My wife wants to
grow strawberries in planter boxes on our porch this year, and I promised her
I'd ask for advice on this list.
     My main question is when to plant? Mel doesn't mention strawberries in
his book. What is the timing relative to last frost? I live in the
Minneapolis, MN area, so our average last frost is sometime in May. I'm
assuming ~May 15 for now.
