Hi Terrill,
I didn't see any replies to your question, and I'm curious. I suppose
you could use cedar shavings as mulch in your garden - I don't know of
any deleterious effects, other than being a hardwood might take a long
time to break down.
But my big curiousity is that you couldn't find a better use for cedar
shavings? They smell so good, I think I would put them all around and
inside my house... :) I should think they might be expensive to buy!

Hi everyone. I am new to this list, but have been reading it for about =
a week. I was wondering if Cedar shavings work well as mulch? I was =
thinking that with cedar's pest repellent properties it might do double =
duty in my garden. Any thoughts? I live in Eastern N. Carolina, (zone =
8). Thanks. Terrill
