Greetings All!
I have a question for anybody out there who's used Walls O'
Water. I purchased a couple of packs of these li'l jewels a couple of
weeks ago and am now ready to try 'em out. My frost free date is sometime
in mid-April and the weather is already looking good, although it still dips
down to the low-mid 30's at night. That is the situation
here.
The questions: How much hardening off is necessary if
I'm using WOW? Does the advertised protection of 16 degrees mean I can
just about eliminate hardening off, or at least minimize what Mel admits is a
"pain in the neck?" Any opinions on this would be greatly
appreciated since I have some toms that are raring to get outside -
soon!
Another inquiry - I commute to work everyday leaving normally
around 0530 and returning around 1800. Does anybody with similar hours
have any advice on a good method to harden off veggies? I'm not around
enough to be jockeying plants for a couple of hours each day. The only
solution I've come up with so far is moving my plants in front of a partially
opened window, hoping that at least gets them somewhat hardened off. This
is why I bought the WOW.
Any help/advice or general comment would be
appreciated.
TIA!
Harry
