I used Mel's plan from the book...used 1/2" galvanized pipe to make frames 6'
tall and 4' wide.    They'll cut and thread the pipe for you at Home Depot or a
similar establishment.  Connect with normal elbow fittings.  Then I strung the
frames with nylon string.  They looked great in the garden, held up in strong
winds, and should last a good long time (the pipe, not necessarily the string).
They really work best for plants pruned to a single stem...although I have a
theory that with some creative string patterns I could allow one or two side
shoots per plant to develop.  Haven't tried that yet, though.  Good luck!
