I am trying an everbearing strawberry, and knowing how they send out those
runners, I planted in alternating squares to allow for growth.

They are very tasty, but a funny shape. I expect that might be due to some
nutriant deficiency. So far, so good, but like someone else said, it takes
about 3 years till they REALLY produce. At least that was true with the
ones at school. Not sure what variety those were, but this year the kids
have been having a feast!
