Hi Jean!

I'm new to this list too, but I wanted to say hi because I'm a close
neighbor of yours. I live just north of Dallas in McKinney.

We just put in our garden about 2 weeks ago. We moved to Tx from Ky,
and I got a late start on my gardens because I was still operating on Ky
plant dates. Whew! Texas heats up quick! We only have some tomato,
cucumber and pepper plants right now in our garden.

We made a trellis by using pvc pipes. We use pipe clamps and attached
them to the outside of the box (we'll move them inside after the growing
season, more stability). In the clamps we put a 12 inch high 3/4 inch
diameter pvc pipe. Into that we slid a 1/2 inch diameters pvc pipe
that's about 7 feet tall, they are the supports for our trellis. We
then attached a support to the two pipes across the top to frame it
out. I'm using twine for the actual netting, but you could use netting
from WalMart for your plants. I'm sure this was as clear as mud! lol!

Nice to meet you!

Jen
