Maybe we should get together Phil.  Your dogs could chase away our garlic
hunting squirrels.  This is our first time gardening in this house (we just
moved here last summer) so we had no idea that the squirrels would organize to
form a garden posse

Then I need to borrow the dogs to get rid of a pesky ground hog...the local wildlife people don't catch pests..they just advise us how to get rid of them ourselves....like I'm really gonna go buy/rent a trap and catch it and transport it somewhere by myself.   it's kinds cute..but I'm afraid he/she is going to get into the garden despite the fence.

So far I've harvested lettuce, peas, and LOTS of strawberries...and most of the other veggies are growing well.  I'll need to replant the cantaloupe though...the cold snap (3 nights with light frost) we had killed off 3 of the 5 plants...now that it's warmer (87 today) everything else is happy.
