I was lazy this spring and let the garden ivy (pretty leaves, but wow, so invasive) spread all around my framed raised beds. When it finally bloomed a few weeks ago (pretty purple flowers) I found myself with lots and lots of bees, both the regular kind and the bumble kind. Since none of my intended plants are close to blooming yet, I hope they stick around the area for awhile. In the meantime, I keep pulling out the ivy as it finds its way under and into my beds, but otherwise I'm letting it be(e) :-).
