Actually, I wasn't worried about THYME being too elegant in the paths around my raised beds, it was the expense and trouble/time of putting the nice paving stones around my raised beds that I was questioning. :-) I'm talking about large slabs of slate or something, not small brick-like pavers, which would be great but even more expensive and time consuming to lay. I like the idea of clover, but I worry about having something that will be sloppy (muddy) when wet, plus I do want a surface that is as amenable to wheelchair traffic (and my garden cart) as possible.
