If using raised beds you can make a hoop over them by placing narrow (about
3/4") PVC piping over them.  Pound a nail on each side so it remains a few
inches high, place the hole of the PVC piping in and bend over the nail on
the other side.  You can cover with plastic and/or floating row covers.  I
like to use both, then take off the plastic as the season progresses.
