Re: Plants around raised beds

Have you considered buying some concrete pavers?  They come in a variety of
basic shapes, are cheap and fairly large.  I'd think that the slabs of slate
would be more expensive...  Too bad I discovered this too late... I had some
really (hideous, to me) large pieces of slate in my foyer...we ripped that
junk out and are preparing to replace it with ceramic tile.  :-P  I hate slate
entryways...

You want something conducive to wheelchair wheels, eh?  Well, I'd think that
slate would be OUT, in that case.  It gets real slick when wet...

Actually, I wasn't worried about THYME being too elegant in
the paths around my raised beds, it was the expense and
trouble/time of putting the nice paving stones around my
raised beds that I was questioning. :-)  I'm talking about
large slabs of slate or something, not small brick-like
pavers, which would be great but even more expensive and time
consuming to lay.
