Equal parts (eg one pail full) coarse vemiculite, screened! peat moss, coare sand, decomposed leaf mold (screened thru a 1/4 " mesh!), & good garden soil (also screened thru a 1/4" mesh!). Add 2 c of fertilizer (as desc in Ch 5). In addition, add a cup of lime, & a half-pail of screened! wood stove or fireplace charcoal. The ! are mine; I'm not about to screen anything!!!!
