Re: Manure Tea


Put manure in a large container and cover with water and then drain off trhe
water.  Historically, the drums were 55 gallon drums with spicots at the
bottom and thus it was somewhat easier what you might have to do today.  You
can get some solutions at your local nursery that replicate this without the
horrible smell (and manure in water in the hot summer will get rather ripe).
One issue, especially on manure from animals with salt licks, may be a heavy
dose of salts in the first solution taken since most of the salts are
readily soluble in water.
