Re: Results so far


If this is the ground where you put the carrots in, root crops
apparently do best in soil that doesn't have any nitrogen added (it
causes them to fork and split).  I only put peat moss in my "root plot",
and I plan to add some potash (I was convinced by a blurb in the Gardens
Alive! catalogue).  We'll see how it works!  Torrential rainfall can
most definately wash seeds away, and cool temps can stall the
germination process.  But you can sow carrots all summer, every two
weeks. So it's not too late!
