        While I know that spacing has something to do with pollination, I
thought the problem was when the rows were too far apart.
        I would have thought that if you had ears at all that the plants got
enough sun, water and nutrients, which would be the issue if they were
too close.
        Perhaps a wider patch of each planting? I'm just hoping your results
are skewed since I have a fairly dense planting (Averaging 3/sq ft).
