That sounds like pyrethrum daisy, _Chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium_. This is
the plant from which pyrethrins are derived; these chemicals are quite
deadly to insects and other cold-blooded animals. I've also seen _C.
coccineum_ named as pyrethrum daisies; i think this is one of those cases
where knowing the Latin name is critical.
