Sorry I'm responding so lated. I have been gone for a while, and
have about 200 messages to get through. I believe I read somewhere, when
in doubt, plant according to the thinning guidelines. If it says thin to
6", plant at 6". If it helps any, I have planted petunias at 6" and they
did well.
