On some of my pepper plants, the peppers have black "smears" on them. The flesh is fine, no soft spots or holes, but instead of being green they have black pigment. They look and smell fine, and I know it's definitely not a fungus. It's like the opposite of sun blight, instead of white patches it's black. Are these peppers OK? Can you still eat them? Again, maybe it's from all the rain. Thanks in advance for the help.
