eating hot peppers

I sorta understand the 'endorphin rush' that people get when they eat really
hot peppers. I once mislabeled two jars of dried stuff... one was dried
tomatoes and the other, you guessed it, habaneros. After drying they looked
pretty similar but I thought I could tell them apart. Before I stuck a label
on right, I took a bite out of the WRONG one.
Hubby swore steam blew out my ears, and my face turned beet red. But, the
aftershock (cooling effect) was almost pleasant. I don't think I could get
used to it, but I now understand what folk are looking for when they eat
really hot foods.
I like to dry my own peppers and grind them up for pizza sprinkles but I
don't think I'd want to eat another whole dried one, seeds and all again!
Even just having the dehydrator going in the house was quite a lungful of
pepper.
