Wow! Thank you all so much for your help and advice!
I finished my front square foot garden this afternoon. I am so pleased.
Thanks to all of your advice I have a nicely landscaped edibles garden in
front of my house.
As I said, I had already planted strawberries, herbs and raspberries and
still had 2 3X3 squares and one 4X4 to plant. I took some of a little bit
of advice from almost everybody. I planted one of the 3X3 with peppers
(using all different colors as suggested), The other 3X3 I planted bush
type squash. In the 4X4, I planted a lettuce mix, swiss chard and some
sunflowers.
It all looks so good...I feel a level of pride just short of how proud I
was of my wedding and how proud I am of my 2 year old. I really can't think
of anything else that compares. Square foot gardening is so great!
(And I haven't even harvested anything yet!)
One person suggested and artichoke, which I would really like, but I
haven't been able to find in my area. Does anybody know of a reputable mail
order company where I could get one?
Again, thank you! thank you! thank you! to all of you for your advice.
Sincerely,
Lisa
